The Sims 1 - Installing Custom Content (CC)
Game Requirements
My custom content is built and tested in The Sims: Complete Collection. Floors and wallpapers should work on all versions of The Sims 1.
Installing Lots/Houses
Installing lots (houses and destinations) may be quite confusing if you're new to downloading them for The Sims 1. Luckily, by following these steps, you'll have them up and running in no time!
- Download the desired house.
- Extract the ZIP file to a folder, then open the unzipped folder.
- If installing one of my lots: Put all folders starting with ‘CC_’ in the folder ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads’. These folders contain the custom objects used in the lot.
- Put the file ‘House*.iff’ in the desired ‘UserData*\Houses’ folder, also found in ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims’.
The number at the end of UserData corresponds with the neighborhood the house will be dropped into. If you want to put the house in Neighborhood 7, for example, you can put the house in the ‘UserData7\Houses’ folder.
Caution: Be careful while overwriting a house file. If your chosen neighborhood already contains a house, that house and family will be gone!
The Sims 2 - Installing Custom Content (CC)
Game Requirements
My custom content is built and tested in The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection or The Sims 2: Super Collection (Mac).
Installing Lots/Houses

- Extract the file.
- Install the application by double-clicking the Sims2Pack Installer and following the instructions.
- Download the desired house.
- Double click the Sims2Pack file, then click ‘Install’.
- Don't change any settings in the window that pops up, then click ‘Install’ again:
- Launch the game, and you'll find the lot in your lot depot. Have fun!
